Postdoctoral Positions
Multiple postdoctoral positions are available in the Real-Time Systems Group on projects involving transactional memory (with compiler/virtual machine support), scalable multicore operating systems, and concurrency refactoring through compiler/virtual machine-level code transformations. Positions are available in the group's HydraVM concurrency refactoring project, ChronOS real-time Linux project, and HyFlow transactional memory project.
Recent computer science or computer engineering PhD graduates with strong systems background (e.g., compilers, virtual machines, operating systems) are sought for all positions. For positions in the HydraVM and HyFlow projects, candidates with background in compilers, in particular LLVM, and virtual machines (e.g., OpenJDK, Jikes) are especially sought. For positions in the ChronOS real-time Linux project, candidates with background in Linux kernel and hypervisors (e.g., KVM, Xen) are sought.
Positions are for two-year minimum, with strong possibilities for additional years, and have no teaching obligations. Contact Prof. Binoy Ravindran (binoy@vt.edu) with a resume, or for any questions.
